CONFID3NTIAL GETS ALL GOOEY WTH THE DEW`Y

Well well well… who would`a thought? Mountain Dew.. me?? Well peeps its for real.. right there on 29 green st in the flesh! Just over a month ago me and the giftd were approached by matty ho from @ Subculture Conglomerate and were asked to come up with a pitch for a pop up gallery for the Green Label Art project in soho, NYC. This being a unique collection of limited edition Mountain Dew bottles, designed by 6 creative minds spanning the worlds of action sports, music, vinyl, the artists included the work of Pushead, Nathan Cabrera, Jeff McMillan, Claw Money, Stephen Bliss and UPSO.

Obviously we agreed, bashed heads till the wee hours of the morning and came up with 2 or 3 concepts… We got the “green” light”.. i mean go ahead and met a few fellas from LTD magazine and spoke of our mission to transform the Etnies showroom into the bipolar art space that it became. Along our crazy little journey we acquired many friends and what you could call “life savers” from Proof 7, One Stop Framing, Let There Be Neon, Buddy Construction, Skim Catering and many others.
So after long hard nights, lots of Amped energy drinks, pen squiggles on found receipts, good times, bad times, poop incidents, twitter chat ( @dew_gla ) and rants! Confid3ntial delivers you the ever gooey, mountain dew`y Green art label…..

ATC HAS BLOOMED!

A year and a bit has past and finally the lil store that hatched in the middle of South Beach Miami has finally asserted its self firmly in the sneaker store world! ATC was completely transformed into 1/3 sneaker shop, 1/3 art show and 1/3 lounge. The first official ATC Store event featuring the works of Big Doves, who you may know as the creator of Mi Gente’s infamous “Suck My Kicks” logo, paired with complimentary drinks courtesy of Belvedere Vodka, and Amp’d Energy Drinks, walla! The night was also extra special as it served as a mini-memorial and tribute to recently passed Miami graffiti legend, Oil aka Oiler, who passed earlier in the week. And ironically, the night of Big Dove’s art show was coincidently Oil’s birthday. A tribute canvas was displayed along with a pair of Air Force 1’s that Oil designed before he passed. Rest in Peace, Oil!!! If you didnt know me ant thegiftd designed it then you can read the original post here, if you did and your a Confid3ntial fan then grab a brew sit back and take a peep at a few pics taken from sneakertalk.com, store look amazing!!

THE TALENTED MR.RIDLEY
Welcome to the mysterious orient. Welcome to Osaka Made.
“One may have supposed up until now that the very nature of ones own existence was in some way unique or perhaps “purposeful”. Do you look in the mirror when combing your hair and say “I am more special than the common Joe”. Well let me assure you that the journey featured in this motion picture is one way to dispel any such notion of self righteousness. The industrial sprawl, alleys ad infinitum and subterranean walkways silently exclaim one’s own existence as simply a minute portion of time within the Bellus Astrum.”
Mr. Ridley crossed my path in a small pizza shop in mid town, he was working on a spoken word x triphop colab with Geko Jones whom ive blogged about before. Im guessing it was back in 2004/5… he was a banker then, banker as in a person that works in a bank, not a word rhyming with banker that starts with a “W”, lol. Honestly ive met no other like him, he inspires and fills you with creativity, floods your mind with wonderful ideas and just makes you want to tear the clothing from miss. Inspiration and ride her till the dinosaur`s come back!Hiis skills vairy from spray paint via print, web, photography, motion and film to all things music, beats, sound engineering, producing and spinng the wheels of steel… A true legend of a friend, super talented who quite literally masters everything he touches. keep it up rids!!

check out more of the Riddler here. Definitly check his Media work out too!
