Client Challenge:

Woke Babies is a unique, multicultural brand dedicated to educating children through diverse books and products. With a growing presence in the market, the brand needed a refreshed visual identity that would capture its energy, inclusivity, and educational mission. The challenge was to create a bold and engaging design system that would appeal to children and parents alike while standing out in a crowded marketplace.

Our Solution:

We created a fresh, vibrant visual identity for Woke Babies, refining the colour palette, typography, and imagery to make the brand more engaging and playful. The new design system was crafted to resonate with young readers while staying true to the brand’s mission of celebrating diversity in children’s literature.
 

This identity first came to life through a special edition book cover for "The Magic Balloon", released on World Book Day 2025, helping Woke Babies make a bold impact during one of the UK’s biggest literacy awareness events. Beyond the book design, we provided creative guidance and consultation on website updates and all visual aspects of the brand, ensuring a consistent and cohesive presence across every touchpoint.

Winning State:

The revamped visual identity sparked widespread positive reactions, enhancing Woke Babies’ visibility and engagement during World Book Day 2025, the perfect platform to introduce the brand’s fresh new look. With placements in Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Waterstones, and other UK supermarkets, retail stores, and partner locations, the bold, engaging visuals made an instant impact, solidifying Woke Babies’ reputation as a leader in diverse children’s literature.
 

By using World Book Day 2025 as a launch moment, Woke Babies not only celebrated storytelling but also reinforced its mission to bring diverse stories to life through powerful, meaningful design, ensuring the brand continues to inspire young readers for years to come.
